We are part of the first Friendly Tourism Guide of Málaga

guia gay competa

The Hotel Balcón de Cómpeta is already part of the newly released publication (Published in the month of July of this year 2018 for the first time) Friendly Tourism Guide by Malaga and province. The document compiles, according to the writer of the publication Jesús Palomares, “tolerant and respectful places” with people and in particular with the LGTBI collective.

The guide, which was presented last July, is distributed along with another one of gastronomic information for the area. Both will be officially announced at the FITUR Tourism Fair, at the Malaga stand, and are free. You can find them both in the tourist offices of Málaga capital and the provincial towns, as well as hotel establishments like ours.

The guide reinforces the position of the Costa del Sol as a gay-friendly destination in Spain and in Europe. Its bilingual content – Spanish and English -, is divided into three geographical areas: Málaga capital, white villages of the interior and Málaga coast.

On the other hand, the contents are not limited to mention gay friendly shops or businesses, but their authors, have wanted to highlight the culture of Malaga through its museums, open spaces and parks, and its festivals and traditions talking about the Holy Week and flamenco, its best beaches, the sea and its ports.

In addition, it completes the offer of leisure, culture and life with information on active tourism, nautical, health, adventure sports, golf and elite.

A list of tourist offices, car rental agencies, ecological transport or places to stay are other things that appear in this information guide in the Province of Malaga.

Respect above all else

Malaga is one of the favorite destinations for this group given its open and respectful nature. And Cómpeta can also highlight this feature among its qualities. Being as we are a small town, it is equally true that the diversity of languages, nationalities and cultures makes us a community open to visitors.
